New in Rendezview: Share files, schedule from dashboard, and more!

We’ve just upgraded Rendezview with some new features, which we hope you’ll like. In fact these features come directly from suggestions made by our users. Here are the major changes in this upgrade.

Share files

First of all, files can now be uploaded outside the context of meetings. This is especially useful to share files inside projects.

In addition to this, we’ve added a detail page for files. This means you can deep link to a page with detailed information about the file (similar to the task detail page). Here you can also discuss the file by adding comments.

Finally, we’re now tracking changes to files just as we do for tasks. The file detail page lists a history of changes for that file, so you can see if anyone modified metadata or uploaded a new file.

Schedule a meeting from the dashboard

Now you can schedule a meeting directly from the dashboard. Just click the date you have in mind on the calendar, and then hit the schedule button below the calendar. This will take you to the new meeting form, with the correct date preselected.

Get email notifications

We’ve added lots more email notifications to help you stay on top of what’s happening in your company. To name but a few, you now get notified when someone assigns a task to you, when you’re added to a project, when someone in your project shares a file, when comments are added to stuff relevant to you, and when meeting agenda changes before the meeting starts.

We’ve also improved the subject line of the notification emails so they give a better indication of the contents, and also we now include the name of your company space, which should help with setting up rules in your email client.

Help us improve!

We really appreciate your feedback, and are committed to continually improving the Rendezview user experience. Please help us by submitting your ideas at http://getsatisfaction.com/rendezview.
